MAGNETO M.V. NEON LIGHT HOT STICK

It is a device used for understanding whether areas (busbars and power lines) energized with medium voltage are live or not.
Operating range is between 6 kV and 36 kV. Hot stick of the voltage detector may extend and shorten upon request (telescopic) or
a single piece. There is a stopper on the hot stick, which prevent movement of the hand
forward.

Structure;

Elopar A.Ş. Magneto M.V. Neon Light hot sticks has a neon light assembly on it in a way that can be seen with naked eye.
Hot stick does not constitute any life threat even if the shortest length is used for the highest voltage level (36 kV)
by mistake. The detector head housing the neon light is resistant to impacts and any climate conditions. It emits light that can be seen in
daylight. When the conductive end (made of brass) of the hot stick contacts with the line or busbar,
voltage jumps among copper plates and reaches to the lamp, thereby neon light detector creates a signal.

Mode of Operation ;

Function test of the neon light hot stick is made by means of a magneto test device. In order to check
if the neon light is working, there is an external type (piezo) magneto. Jackprobe on the magneto
is placed on the slot on the hot stick body and other probe is contact to the metal end of the hot stick,
then  the magneto is ignited. Lighting lights indicate that Neon Light M.V. hot stick is
working.
