M.V. SHARP EDGED SOUND AND LIGHT SIGNALING DETECTOR

It is a device used for understanding whether areas (busbars and power lines) energized with medium voltage
are live or not. Operating range is between 8 kV and 36 kV. Hot stick of the voltage detector
may extend and shorten upon request (telescopic) or be solid.
Operating voltage and corresponding kV values are written on the hot stick permanently. There is a stopper
on the hot stick, which prevent movement of the hand forward.

Structure;

It produces light and sound signal. Hot stick does not constitute any life threat even if the shortest length is used for the
highest voltage level (36 kV). Sharp edged sound and light signalling detector is
resistant to impacts and any climate conditions. It emits light that can be seen in
daylight. When the conductive sharp edge of the hot stick, made of brass material, contacts to the line or busbar, voltage is
transmitted to specially designed electronic voltage detection circuit over the conductive end and the presence of voltage
lights 2 bright red led and the piezo buzzer produces sound at the same time.
The detector is battery powered. When the battery is about die or empty,
it must be replaced for a proper operation.

Mode of Operation ;

When the test button of the medium voltage detector is pressed, red led lights and sound signal is given. When the test button is
released, red lights go-off and sound stops. Red led will light and sound signal is given when a live line or busbar is
contacted. Red lights go-off and sound stops as becoming distant from the system.
