M.V. "V" EDGED SOUND AND LIGHT SIGNALLING DETECTOR

It is a device used for understanding whether areas (busbars and power lines) energized with medium voltage (3 kV to 36 kV)
 are live or not. Operating range is between 3 kV and 36 kV. Hot stick of the voltage detector
may extend and shorten upon request (telescopic) or be solid or if hot stick with  fibre body,
hot stick pipe can be manufactured with the length of 6 meters (in 3 parts, each of which is 2 meter long,
have a solid body, connected by means of an adaptor). Operating voltage and corresponding kV values are written
on the hot stick permanently. There is a stopper on the hot stick, which prevent movement of the hand
forward.

Structure;

Elopar A.Ş. M.V. sound and light signalling detector is composed of a "V" edge, a voltage detection circuit and a hot stick.
Sound and light signalling detector does not constitute any life threat even if the shortest length is used for the
highest voltage level (36 kV).
Sound and light signalling detector head housing the neon light is resistant to impacts and any climate conditions. It emits light that can be seen in
daylight. When the conductive "V" edge of the detector contacts to the line or busbar, voltage is
transmitted to specially designed voltage detection circuit through the brass material. Circuit sensing the existence of
voltage creates a sound and light signal. The detector is battery powered. When the battery is about about die or
empty, it must be replaced for a proper operation.

Mode of Operation ;

Before testing if the line is live or not with the detector, it is taken to "on" position from the
on-off switch. It is seen that small red led lights. Operation of "V" edge sound
and light signalling detector circuit is controlled by pressing the test button
before measuring the voltage. If the circuit is working (while you are pressing on the test button), 2 red
1 green led will light and buzzer sounds at the same time.
When you release the test button, 2 led stop lighting and the buzzer does not sound but
the green led continues to light only. When any voltage between 3 and 36 kV is detected
green led stops lighting, 2 red led start lighting and the buzzer sounds.
Red led lights start to go-off and buzzer sound stops as becoming distant from the voltage. After the completion of the operation
button is taken to "off" position. Since the joint where the detector is connected to the body is designed as threaded,
angel can also be given to the detector.
