It is a system used for ensuring life safety of the workers during the works to be carried out at high voltage lines (u154 kV - 380 kV) by grounding energy transmitting lines
by short circuiting them. In other words it is the hardware that
temporarily short circuits to line between phase-phase and phase-ground during the works to be performed at
high voltage lines.
Parts on the hot stick end and all other metal parts are made of stainless material. Furthermore,
hot stocks are manufactured as waterproof.
Its features are;
a. Grounding cables of the equipment has the section of 70 mm2 for 154 kV and minimum 4 meter long descending cable has the section of
70 mm2 and is minimum 20 m long and they are in the quantity sufficient for reaching to medium voltage lines.
b. Grounding cables of the equipment has the section of 70 mm2 for 380 kV and minimum 6 meter, descending cable has the section of
70 mm2 and is minimum 20 m long and they are in the quantity sufficient for reaching to medium voltage lines.
c. Clips are capable of attaching to lines between 477 MCM and 1272 MCM Clips are capable of attaching to
high voltage lines. (Attachable to cords with the sections between 280 mm2 - 726 mm2)
d. Clips, connection branches, grounding and short circuit cables and entire hardware is resistant to short circuit current of
4000A for 1 second.
e. Hot stick is two pieced and minimum 4 meters for 154 kV lines.
f. Hot stick is two or three pieced and minimum 5 meters for 380 kV lines.
g. There is a stopper on the hot stick, which prevents movement of the hand forward.
h. Clips are in hardness that will not damage the power lines and be detached from the conductor alone or by the wind while
it is attached on it.
i. Protective outer shield of the grounding and short circuit cable is transparent. It is resistant to oil, weather conditions and wear. Cables have high bending
properties.
j. Grounding clamp has a thumb nut for assembling and disassembling manually on and from the rounding pile.
k. Cable terminals must be inserted to the clips by means of screws.
I. Spring washer must be used again sliding and rotating in bolts and nuts.
m. The crate housing the grounding equipment is galvanized and locked. The jacket in which the grounding pile and hot stick will be placed is made of waterproof canvas cloth.
